The Postpartum Care Kit and why it exists

In my time working on the postpartum ward, I noticed the same patterns over and over—missed education, quiet anxieties, and a real lack of grounded, practical support for those early days.

I created this hamper and booklet with only the bare necessities—tools I genuinely believe make a difference in that tender window of first feeds, first tears, and first moments of learning to mother.

After both of my births, I felt incredibly held because I did rally my village. I had friends who organised a meal train, a mother blessing circle, and a community who gave me the space to rest, bond, and ease into this new chapter. It was glorious. That support gave me the strongest foundation for motherhood—and that’s what I’ve poured into this kit.

Because every mother deserves to feel nourished, seen, and gently supported as she finds her rhythm.
